$5 Summer Fashion Finds at Walmart!

Last night I did a late night run with my friend Lauren to Walmart. We went in for ribbon and came out with some pretty awesome stuff (and no ribbon :)!)

Check out these $5 and under finds!

These necklaces were $5 a piece and let me just tell you there were about 100 other cute ones for the same price!

Mix and match neon bikini tops and bottoms $4.66 a piece!! I can hardly contain my excitement as I write this.

Last deal were these 2 pack infinity scarf combos for $5! One solid and one pattern in each pack and every print is adorable.

All this for around $25... I couldn't even buy one necklace for that at most stores!

Let me know your favorite deals!

Spring has Sprung! Ballet Flats & Pastels

Finally a warm day!

I love Spring because I love the fashion and how it is all inspired by so much color.

Today I was thrilled to wear cropped pants, a pastel top, and a fun spring scarf.

Some of my Spring inspirations include:

Fresh colors and lightweight scarves - currently 2 for $12 at Charlotte Russe

My Saturday Staple: The Long Cardigan

Saturday mornings are bliss. It is my time to spend an hour drinking coffee- catching up on emails and the weekly happenings that I may have missed.

One of my weekend wardrobe essentials is a long cardigan. I throw that on over a v-neck t-shirt and I am ready to go.

Now I have a splurge option as well as a steal option.

So the first option is from Tory Burch and is the splurge. The Simone cardigan is so wonderful and is flattering on all shapes! It retails for $225 BUT I have NEVER paid that for one. I wait until the out of season colors go on sale and then I wait for an extra 25% off sale coupon and that brings the price down significantly.

Now the steal option is ironic because this line is designed by Tory Burch's ex-husband, and the line is called C. Wonder.

His store strongly resembles Tory but his prices are significantly less.

His sweater, the signature mid-length cardigan retails for $78. I have never paid this price either. This cardigan goes on sale all of the time and there is usually a 50% off sale coupon going around as well.

As you can see the two options are almost identical! I own both and I love them both.

Does any one else have a weekend staple?

Have a wonderful Saturday!

The Perfect Maxi...... Dress

The verdict is still out as to whether or not my boyfriend likes me in a maxi dress. I however love them and don't really care what he thinks, I think they are glamourous and I always feel sophisticated when I throw one on.

I also love when I find a deal that is a deal all the time!

Behold the $9.80 maxi dress from Forever 21! I am not joking it is always $9.80!

Throw a sparkly necklace on and your ready for a night on the town!

Bargain Hunting for Accessories

Necklaces and scarves can instantly update your look. A plain t-shirt can suddenly be turned into an adorable, put-together, polished look. The even better part about accessories is that if you know the right places to shop they are affordable.

Yesterday I scored some awesome deals at my best kept secret in Blacksburg, Charlotte Russe. There is not a whole lot of shopping in Blacksburg so you definitely have to venture out and wander into some stores that might not typically be on your radar.

The great thing about Charlotte Russe is that they often have great sales. Yesterday they were having spend $50 get $10 off. On top of that they had select items on sale. ALL SCARVES WERE $5!!!

The other cool thing is that almost all of there jewelry is 2 for $10. You really can't beat that.

Here is what I scored...

Both the gold necklaces were $5 a piece and the blue necklace was $8.99. These accessories will certainly add some fun to the tops and dresses in my wardrobe!

Any one else find some awesome accessories for an even better price lately?

Snowed In

I realize I haven't posted in about a week and a half but it has been quite busy around here.

At the beginning of the week I picked up the March edition of People StyleWatch. We were featured as one of "10 Things to Try This Month". Super exciting and we have already seen an increase in users on the site and app!

Then came the snow...

It was fun for the first day... and now it is a gross slushy mess!

And yesterday was Valentine's Day!

Olive Garden take out with my boyfriend, brother and his girlfriend. It was delicious! Except they forgot the best part.. dessert!

Hope everyone had a good week and is having a relaxing weekend! Be sure if you are going out tonight to post your outfits to the site!

Dressing for Work on a Grad Student Budget

I have always loved shopping. There is that instant moment of bliss after you bought something you are really excited about. I have found that this bliss I am referring to is even more awesome when you find something for a really good deal!

Yesterday Ann Taylor LOFT had 50% of their entire store. This sounds pretty great... What is even more great is this includes sale. So my cute shirt that was already marked down to $15 was now even less!

The greatest thing about the LOFT is that they run sales like this all the time. These tops are super cute and affordable just add a necklace or scarf and you have an instant work outfit.

I think the biggest thing about dressing for work is knowing how to accesorize. I can't afford to own a ton of cute work dresses and pant/blazer sets. I can afford cute tops and I can also afford to jazz them up with fun accessories.
